Using the shopping cart

Shopping at Leanin' Tree is easy! You add items to your cart in two simple steps:

1) Click on the small picture of the item you're interested in, or click "view details", to view a larger image and additional information.

2) While viewing the large picture of the item, type in the number of items you want by clicking on the "Quantity" box, type the quantity you desire, and click the "Add to Cart" button.

A page will display confirming that you have added the item and provide you with several links to continue shopping. It's that easy!

You can view the contents of your cart by going to the Shopping Cart page. You can always get to the Shopping Cart page by clicking the "View Cart" button in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

To change the quantity of items already in your shopping cart, or to delete an item from your shopping cart, just follow the directions on the Shopping Cart page. Be sure to click the Update Order button after making your changes.

If you are looking for a specific type of card, first click on the Greeting Cards tab near the top of the page. You will then be directed to a page that enables you to navigate to the entire card selection by occasion. What does "Create New Account" mean, and why do I need one?

<p.a>

Creating a FREE Standard Account with us enables you to shop, place orders, and send e-cards more easily. You will be able to create and use your own personal Address Book as well as use our handy Reminder Management service to remind you of upcoming occasions you don't want to forget (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, holidays, etc.).

To create a Standard Account, simply click on "Create new account" at the top of the page. This link takes you to a sign-up page on a secure section of our website. Follow the prompts to fill in the required contact information.

The next two boxes give us permission to contact you with special offers and information we believe will interest you. Leave them checked, unless you do not want to receive special offers, promotions and information.

Now create your own personal password. Choose a password and enter it twice for accuracy, just in case. (Keep a record of your password so you can easily access your account information at any time.) Be sure to hit the "Save" button.

Next you will see a screen where you can fill in your mailing address. You can click the Skip this Step button if you prefer to enter the information at a later time. If you opt to Skip this Step, your account will contain only your e-mail address.

If entering your mailing address as a PO Box, be sure to check the PO Box "box." The screen will redisplay and provide an input box where you may only your PO Box number. After entering your address, be sure to hit the "Save" button.

Lastly, you will see a prompt to "Subscribe Now." If you like, you can subscribe to our Premium Account for just $9.95 (annual fee), and enjoy unlimited access to ALL our premium e-cards as well! Simply click the "Subscribe" button and follow the prompts if you'd like to sign up.(See also "What is a "Premium Account" subscription, and how do I create one?")

You can now begin shopping, and if you have subscribed to a Premium Account, you can send unlimited e-cards as often as you like!

What is a "Premier Account" subscription and how do I create one?

A Premier Account enables you to send ALL our Premier Cards at any time to as many e-mail addresses you wish! A Premier Account is just $9.95 for a one-year subscription. You can access the Premier Account subscription page by clicking on Subscribe Now when sending an e-card that requires a Premier Account. Or, you can also access the Subscribe Now button after setting up a Standard Account (see "What does "Create new account" mean, and why do I need one?").

After clicking Subscribe Now you will see a screen where you can log in to your Standard Account if you have created an account, OR you can create a Standard Account if you haven't already. After creating the Standard Account and clicking the Save button, you will see the Premier Account subscription page. Your one-year subscription is just $9.95, and you can enjoy a Risk-Free 7-Day Trial Period—if you're not completely satisfied, simply cancel within the 7-day trial at no cost!

Below are the steps for creating a "Premier Account E-Card Subscription"

Step 1: Enter Subscription Information

Your Billing Address information will automatically load with the mailing address contained on your Standard Account if you have already entered the information there. If not, simply enter your billing information in the spaces provided.Click Next, and you will be taken to a confirmation screen which displays your account billing information.

Step 2: Confirmation of billing Information

This screen displays your account billing information. To confirm the accuracy of the information click Next, or click Back to re-enter any incorrect information. After clicking Next on the confirmation page, you will arrive at a payment screen.

Step 3: Payment

Please enter the credit card information requested. Enter the name on your card, card number, choose your card type (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) and enter the CVV2 code on the back of your card. CVV2 codes, also known as verification numbers, are 3- or 4- digit codes found on most major credit cards. (Requiring the CVV2 code helps protect against theft.) Then use the drop-down boxes to indicate the expiration date (month and year) for your card.

Next you will see two option boxes. Check the first box if you want uninterrupted service and would like to renew your subscription automatically when it expires. (We will notify you in advance and provide you an opportunity to change your mind!)

Also be sure to check the box that indicates your acceptance of Leanin' Tree Terms of Service Agreement. You can click on Terms of Service to review the agreement before accepting it. To proceed, click Finish.

Step 4: Account confirmation

This screen will thank you for your subscription and provide you all your account details, including the date your trial period ends, the date your credit card will be charged, the amount it will be charged and the date your subscription will expire. Be sure to print this page for your records.

If you're not completely satisfied, you may cancel your subscription during your trial period by going to the "My Account" section in the upper right corner, and then click on the "Subscription" in the upper left-hand corner. Your credit card will not be charged until the end of your trial period.

Lastly, you will receive another message from Twila.Green@LeaninTree.com when your credit card is charged. (Please add Twila.Green@LeaninTree.com to your preferred contacts list to ensure you receive this and other e-mails related to your subscription.) Thank you for your Premier Account E-Card Subscription - you can now enjoy sending unlimited e-cards to friends and family right away!

I forgot my username or password, what do I do?

We all forget things from time to time, and we've made it easy for you to retrieve your username or password.

1) One way is to click on or copy/paste the following link into your browser: http://leanintree.com/ForgotPassword.aspx

2) Or, another option is to simply click on "Login to your account" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. From there, you can then click on "Forgot your username or password?"

Either way you choose (#1 or #2 above), a screen will appear that prompts you to enter your e-mail address in the box shown. Click submit. An e-mail will then be sent to the e-mail address you provided with instructions to reset your password. (IF you do not receive a message from TwilaGreen@LeaninTree.com within 30 minutes, please add Twila.Green@LeaninTree.com to your safe list.)

The message you receive from Twila.Green@Leanintree.com will contain your username, and will provide a clickable link whereby you can change your password. After clicking the link (or if you prefer, you can copy/paste the provided web address into your browser), a screen will appear with boxes where you will enter a new password, confirm the password, then click Save. Lastly, you will see a message that your password has been successfully changed.

How do I access my Address Book?

Once you have created an account (see above "What does "Create new account" mean, and why do I need one?") and have signed in to your personal account using your password, you can use the Address Book function to store mail and e-mail addresses of friends and family members. Creating an Address Book enables you to easily find and enter friends' e-mail addresses when sending Leanin' Tree e-cards, too!

Simply log on to "My Account," and click on Address Book and begin creating new addresses. After you have saved an address, it can be edited or deleted later using the buttons to the right of each entry. Save as many as you like!

How do I use the Reminder Management service?

Never again forget a birthday or anniversary or other special occasion! Once you have created an account (see above "What does "Create new account" mean, and why do I need one?") and have signed in to your personal account using your password, you can use the Reminder Management function to remind you of special occasions. Simply log on to "My Account," and click on Reminder Management and begin creating reminders. You can specify whether you want to be reminded of an occurrence 2 weeks ahead, 1 week ahead, 1 day ahead, and/or annually if it is a recurring event like a birthday. After you have saved a reminder occasion, it can be edited or deleted later using the buttons to the right of each entry. Save as many as you like!

How do I change my Marketing Preferences?

Your e-mail address is safe with us! We respect your privacy and will not rent or sell your e-mail address. You can change how you want to be contacted by us at any time. Once you have created an account (see above "What does "Create new account" mean and why do I need one?") and have signed in to your personal account using your password, simply click on Marketing Preferences. There you can indicate whether you would like to receive e-mail offers from Leanin' Tree or from other specially selected companies. The choice is always yours!
