Y'all go together like biscuits and gravy!
Wishing you another year of that stick-to-your-ribs kind of lovin'! Happy Anniversary
Biscuits 'n Gravy First of all, get yourselves out of the sack, you lovebirds! Biscuits: Preheat oven to 450 degrees and mix the following in a large bowl: 2 cups sifted flour 3 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. lard or oil (This is needed for the dough. You should refrain from spreading it all over each other!) Add 2/3 cup fresh milk (or diluted evaporated milk) Knead with your hands until you've got a big ball of dough. Wash up and dry your hands thoroughly, then dust them with flour. Pinch off a piece of dough; roll it between your palms until you have a nice ball. Flatten the ball so that it's about 1" high. Lay it on a greased baking pan, flipping it over so that both sides are greased. Repeat until pan is full. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Gravy: In a heated pan mix: 2 tbsp. pan drippings 2 tbsp. flour Stir until lightly browned Blend in: 1 cup milk Stir constantly until gravy thickens to a desired consistency. Add more milk to thin. Add lots of lovin' and a little salt and pepper to taste. Makes about 1 cup.
