Wishing You a Grand and Glorious Christmas!
The 20th Century Limited Now there was a name; there was a train! At the behest of the New York Central, industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss created what is arguably the best streamlined steam locomotive in the annals of American railroading to further enhance "the Train of the Century." Here is J-3a No. 5453, one of ten Hudsons so clad in 1938, leading the “Century” east just outside of Chicago. The holiday-bound passengers are underway on a fast, sixteen-hour run to New York City and a rendezvous with friends and families that will begin at Grand Central Terminal.
