Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a grand New Year
Travel by Train
When Denver Union Terminal opened on June 1, 1881, it was said to be the
largest structure under one roof between Chicago and the west coast. Built to
centralize several different stations, the new Union Station attracted the
Santa Fe Railroad a year after it was built. Although much has changed since
then (including the building itself), its neon “Travel by Train” sign,
installed in 1952, continues to inspire travelers today. May the Santa Fe’s
powerful E-unit No. 83 with its bright "Warbonnet" livery serve as a colorful
reminder of how friends and family are reunited at Christmastime.
