May the meaning of the season be deeper, its friendships stronger and its hopes brighter as Christmas comes to you this year.
Michigan Racetrack Racing eastward across Michigan's rural midland on a chilly winter day, at one mile a minute, handsome 4-8-4 #6325 heads for Port Huron and a connection with the Canadian National lines to Toronto and beyond. Grand Trunk Western was, and is, one of the finest, best maintained and operated railroads in the Midwest, with virtually gradeless high speed main lines from Chicago to Port Huron and Detroit. Thirty-seven 6300s pulled fast and dependable freight or passenger trains from 1929 to the mid-1950s. Proud and progressive, the railroad remains a vital bridge route between Chicago, Eastern Canada, and the Northeastern United States. Hopefully this scene will rekindle fond memories of Christmases long ago.
