Additional Verse:

West of Cimmaron With only two cars in tow, Denver & Rio Grande’s No. 318 easily walks up the four percent grade to Cerro summit west of Cimarron, Colorado in this scene from yesteryear. The class C-18 engine was built in 1896 by Baldwin Locomotive Works, featuring the 2-8-0 wheel arrangement of that class. Named the “Goldfield” by its manufacturer, it was acquired by the Florence and Cripple Creek Railroad, which later sold it to the D&RG in 1917. It ran on portions of Rio Grande’s original 735-mile route between Denver and Salt Lake City, through the Royal Gorge, hauling such trains as the Pacific Express, Atlantic Express, and the Shavano. It last ran for the Rio Grande from Montrose to Ouray and back on March 21, 1953. After decades of diligently bringing home passengers for Christmas in rural Colorado, No. 318 rests proudly as part of the Colorado Railway Museum’s collection.

Delight you friends and family with this high-quality Christmas card that's sure to warm hearts and bring lots of smiles!
