Additional Verse:

Christmas on the Modoc In 1939, the Southern Pacific Railroad ordered twelve “Yellowstone” class 2-8-8-4 locomotives from the Lima Locomotive Company. Designated AC-9, they were built to burn coal and run between Tucson, Arizona, and El Paso, Texas. These were the largest and heaviest locomotives the Southern Pacific ever owned. They were converted to oil burners in 1950, and three years later, eleven were sent out West to run on the Modoc line between Sparks, Nevada and Alturas, California. Locomotive #3810 is towing a heavy train in this scene from Christmas Day, 1954. Snow squalls and sub-zero temperatures have the crew in a hurry to get home to a warm Christmas dinner surrounded by friends and family. May the memories of these once-great locomotives bring cheer and happiness to you this holiday season.

Delight you friends and family with this high-quality Christmas card that's sure to warm hearts and bring lots of smiles!
