The Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas, but Santa's jolly smile had been replaced by a cramp in his usual style. Just halfway through his 'round-the-world flight, he got a strange feeling--something wasn't quite right.
Perhaps it was all the supper that Mrs. Claus made 'im, or all those milk 'n' cookie snacks--he never should've ate 'em. But whatever had caused it, he could tell right away that the need was now urgent to pull over his sleigh.
As luck would have it, out there on the plain where cattlemen work in the snow, wind and rain they'd built a small 'house' of a special persuasion for emergency use on this sort of occasion...
Primary Verse (suggested):
Though this stop was unscheduled, it was mercifully brief, and as Santa departed with a deep sense of relief, "Merry Christmas to all!" he did joyfully shout, "but I'd wait till the New Year to let it air out!"
Have a regular jolly ol' Christmas!
